Extraction is the habit that turns a decent run into permanent progress. Before entering a risky section, decide what item or material makes the run worth saving.
Extraction Checklist
- Confirm the route back before pushing into an unknown area.
- Leave after a rare pickup if health or supplies are below a comfortable level.
- Do not start a long fight when your escape path is blocked.
- Use failed extraction attempts to update the route, not to repeat the same mistake.
For new players, a short successful extract is better than a long run that teaches nothing because it ends in panic.
When to Stay
Stay only when the next objective is close, your supplies are stable, and you still have enough space to correct a bad pull. Otherwise, bank the run and return stronger.
